Website information
Cookie policy
Effective date: 5 October 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a website in your browser. They can support essential functions such as secure sign-in, remember preferences or, where enabled with consent, help measure website use.
2. Cookies currently used
Our public pages and quote form do not currently use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking cookies. The only application cookies are strictly necessary authentication cookies used in the private administrator area.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Maximum duration |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-…-auth-token and numbered fragments | Supabase | Maintains an authorised administrator session and protects the private operations area. | Up to 400 days; refreshed while used and removed on sign-out. |
sb-…-auth-token-code-verifier where required | Supabase | Completes and secures an administrator authentication flow. | Short-lived and removed after the authentication flow. |
The exact cookie name includes our Supabase project reference and may be divided into numbered fragments where the encrypted session is too large for one cookie.
3. Why there is no cookie banner
UK rules do not require consent for cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user, such as secure administrator authentication. As no non-essential cookies are currently active, presenting an accept/reject banner would be misleading.
If we introduce analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies, they will remain disabled until a user has made the required choice. We will also update this page with their provider, purpose and duration.
4. Browser controls
You can inspect, block or delete cookies using your browser settings. Blocking essential authentication cookies will prevent the private administrator area from working correctly but will not stop you viewing the public website or submitting a quote request.
5. Contact
Questions about cookies or privacy can be sent to customerservice@cartransportuk.co.uk or raised by calling 0800 009 6703. Please also read our privacy notice.
